CAST develops and sells different kind of IP cores. The CAN core is a devlopment of the German Fraunhofer IPMS.

The latest version of the core offers a CAN FD extension to increase net data throughput and it comprises data fields up to 64 bytes. The CAN CTRL core IP is offered for ASICs and FPGAs from Microsemi, Altera, Lattice and Xilinx.
